ArtRage Gallery to Host a Unique One Night Event Combining Art and Dance

SYRACUSE, NY - ArtRage Gallery will host “The FLOOR Has WALLS” presented by the FLOOR+WALLS Artist Collective, formerly know as Music Dance Movement Art. The event will take place Saturday, April 5th, doors open at 6:30 pm, at 505 Hawley Avenue in Syracuse.

The event “The FLOOR Has WALLS” will showcase live dance from all genres combined with a one night only installation of artwork including both professional and emerging artists in the area. Dancers will take the floor, while art fills the walls. The audience will have the pleasure of viewing a variety of art in the gallery space, including sculpture, photography, drawings, paintings and mixed media.

Handmade jewelry will also be showcased. Patrons will have the opportunity to speak with the local artists and may purchase select pieces. Choreographers and dancers from Dance Theater of Syracuse, Dancematazz Broadway Style Dance Entertainment, Effervescent Collective, Syracuse City Ballet, Dominique’s Dance Creations, Watcheva Cultural Arts, Ballet and Dance Center, and La Familia De Salsa will come together for a one of a kind dance performance.

The evening’s program is composed of three sections. The night begins in the gallery space, attendees will have an opportunity to view the art installation while enjoying their choice of beer or wine. Artists will be present to discuss their work and provide further information. The second portion of the night the gallery will be transformed into a performance space as dancers take the floor to share their talents. The night concludes with music and mingling at the after party coordinated by VS. Events and Nightlife, offsite location to be announced.

Tickets are a $5.00 minimum donation, additional donations appreciated. Event capacity and seating for the dance performance is limited, first come first serve. Tickets will be sold at the door, no advance sales. This event is cash only. Must be over 21 and have valid ID to consume alcoholic beverages.
